Dear
friends and colleagues,
When I first started itkServices, LLC, like most of my contemporary small business owners, the most difficult task was marketing our services, acquiring the needed resources, and developing a network of professional alliances that could allow us to compete against larger, better established companies.
What I found was that, despite over 25 years of experience in federal law enforcement and security, my background and technical expertise was not enough to develop the well-rounded security management package I believed was key to the success of my company. It was during this “re-assessment” that the idea of the North American Association of Independent Security Consultants (NAAISC) first came to mind.
There are literally thousands of small security companies throughout the United States. We have the talent and experience to perform our services, but lack the resources or exposure to seek and win many business opportunities. There are also several associations in which security consultants can join. These associations, while important to our trade, are not specifically designed to deal with our needs as small security consultant businesses and business owners. The idea of the NAAISC is to unite our forces into one “virtual network” that can tap into each other’s areas of expertise and form professional alliances that can address every aspect of security, from asset protection to access control.
Security services encompass many disciplines. Our clients need expert advice in asset protection, network security, access control, information assurance, investigative support, training, research, intelligence, and policy development. Individually, we are restricted to providing only part of these services. Collectively, we are limited only by opportunity and, through the NAAISC, become part of a nation-wide network committed to excellence through cooperation and a united front.
The NAAISC (www.naaisc.com) is scheduled to launch during the winter of 2004. Before we take our concept to market, however, we want to hear from our counterparts and get an idea of what services the NAAISC can bring to potential members. We would like to hear from you and seek your active participation at making this endeavor mutually beneficial and allowing us all to be greater as a group than as individuals.
Please take a moment to complete our membership survey (note: you will not be contacted to become a member, nor are you required to identify yourself or your company. This is purely intended as a request for your input.
Respectfully yours,
Reinaldo Montano
President & CEO
NAAISC
